I would have expected Scottish to have sent round a man to read your meter more than once in 5 years?

What do your paper (or online) bills say?

I work for Scottish Power, most of the meter readers have nt a clue which way round they go on many of the digital Eco 7 meters. You can t rely on them getting it right. They ve never recieved any special training, they just put the readings in any old how..Thats how G4S work , sloppy and disorganised. The occupier should know better as they would expect to know which reading is the half price rate. .Most likely they have been billing the expensive day units in the night rate, hence the occupier is happy. Night storage users quickly spot it on their bills when the night rate gets transposed.
If the OP can prove that also Scot Power meter readers messed it up then they may knock something off for goodwill. Also Scottish Power have always ignored any of what they think of the UKs OFGEM rules in actually obtaining a physical reading every two years but as usual the Spanish make their own rules up and do what they want and ignore OFGEM
