Over the new year, I developed an chest infection. I felt extremely unwell for weeks on end, though kept pushing myself at work, when I really should have taken some time off sick. (I deliver complex IT projects to tight deadlines, and taking time off puts these in jeapordy and ultimately leaves my employer in a difficult situation)

After three weeks of feeling extremely unwell, but too busy to take time off work, I had a Grand Mall seizure, bringing 19 seizure/medication free months to an end :( The seizure occurred at work on Monday morning - I could barely get out of bed, though forced myself into the office (I did not drive that day, as I felt too ill). It was mid-morning that the seizure occurred. I have surrendered my license again and have been prescribed a new drug (I have not yet started taking this - waiting for my post-ictal symptoms to go first).

    My opinion?

Never mind your driving licence. You seem to care more about your work and employer, rather than your health and well-being.

Your employer really doesn't give a shi(t) about you and once you have worked yourself into permanent ill-health, then what?

    What was it three years?

It's been a year for 20 odd years.

I dont know when it was reduced to be honest i remember when it was 3 years thou as i knew someone else who had it and they had to stop. Thing is thou anyone can have one at anytime and they can have one for all sorts of reasons and never have one again or any symtoms of it. As my daughter said how could she live with herself if she did get in car with the kids in the back and the worse happened . Girl i was at school with lost both her kids and her husband in a car crash he complained of a serious headache before they went out in the car . The car left the road and hit a tree killingthem all it transpired he had a brain hemmorage and they think he may well of been dead before they hit the tree. tragic but sadly these things happen
