Wrong plug, suggestions?

OP Just make sure you don't buy a razor adapter.
Although it will work it is not designed for what you want to do. Usually the PSU will be a loose fit and make an intermittent connection or will just fall out when touched/knocked.0 -
Cut the plug off, wire on a UK three pin plug. By the time you've fannied around trying to decide which travel adapter to get you could have bought a 3 pin plug from your local quid shop and wired it up. If you're unsure on how to fit a 3 pin plug find someone who is over 50. Knowing how to wire up a 3 pin plug is one of the only advantages with anything electrical us old farts still have over kids of today.

I did one the other day. I cut off the sealed 2-pin plug and wired up a 3-pin. It took me about 10 minutes. You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

An adaptor should work fine. Several electrical items in my house (Sony Amp, Panasonic BluRay off the top of my head) actually came with two to three pin adaptors that you place the European plug inside the plug and screw in place installed on them.
Saying that, I work for a German business operating across the whole of Europe and 99% of our industry specific equipment is generally the same across the continent is identical. So in the UK all the German equipment comes with said adaptors This has been all signed off, pat tested to UK standards etc. so I would certainly hope that they are safe!0 -
I suspect that the OP doesn't have a plug on a cable that powers a psu but the psu has pins on it, thereby negating the opportunity to cut off the plug and fit a UK 3-pin version. In which case, the advice offered in others posts is correct - a travel adaptor, but a quality one so the psu doesn't fall out.parking_question_chap wrote: »Its not an easy swap over, the power supply gubbins (I dont know the technical term) is all built in.0 -
