patially settled or full settlement?

I have had a CC debt in collections for two years following a dispute, one I just need to move on from.
As the debt has been in collections for two years and my credit score is ruined anyway, should I pay off the amount to partially settle (zero balance) or should I pay the whole amount. My thinking if its going to take years to rebuild my score anyway, should I just pay the smaller amount?
Comments appreciated.

Is that your only debt or is it part of a larger group of debts. Sometimes it's good to get rid of them and know you've cut the amount you have to repay by a good chunk. I save £1200 on mine. Whichever option you choose will leave a default mark for 6 years (from date of default not date of settlement). How it differs if you are looking to get a mortgage soon is maybe a question for another member.
If I was offered Full & Final Settlements I'd snap their arms off just to get debt free haha.Debt As Of 19/3/2021: £16,973 | Current Debt: £9,322 | 54.9% Repaid0 -
Its my sons CC debt, so I think we'll take the settlement figure if he's stuck with the black marks on his file, appreciate your help.0
