Peugeot 206 gearbox problems
Hi. I bought a used car from a dealer last year and it's always had problems with the automatic gearbox. The snow and ice lights flash on and off and then there's a thud as the gears try to change from 3rd to 4th. The the revs go up to 3500. The only way I seem to clear this is by restarting the engine. The dealer has had his mechanic do an oil change but says whenever he takes the car out there's no problem. However, every single journey I've done has had this problem. Even my friend has the same problem when he drives it so I think the dealer's not being completely honest. I don't what to do technically (the car only has 60,000 miles on the clock) and I don't know where I stand legally. Ideally, I'd like to take the car back and ask for my money back. It's put me off french cars. My last car was a VW and I had no problems with it, until someone wrote it off. Can anyone advise me please.

Get an independent proffesional gearbox centre report and hit them with the report. Then send letter before action. Simple0
