I bought a new desktop computer about 6 weeks ago.

Works well.

When Firefox is updated it shows that it is the 32 bit version.

I thought with my previous computer I was using a 64 bit version of Firefox.

Am I correct?

Do I lose anything with the Firefox 32 bit version???

If I do is there a way I can upgrade to the 64 Bit version?

Your post made me check on my version: 51.0.1 (32-bit) so now I'll install the 64 bit and see if it's faster: http://filehippo.com/download_firefox_64/
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

I found some of the add ons did not work in 64 bit so reverted to 32 bit.

    Thanks.

What's the benefit of the 64 bit version then?

There hasn't been any compelling reason to change until recently and to be honest you probably won't notice much difference.

Can address more than 4GB so handy for power users who have loads of tabs open.

I've not had any problems with compatibility and the common Firefox add-ons.
I've not used Firefox for a while, I think it was building in Pocket that was the final straw.
    Move along, nothing to see.

Use Mozbackup to backup and restore your bookmarks & add ons.
Roboform 7 does not work correctly in 64 bit.

I assume I have 64 bit as it does not say 32 bit but I was wondering if LASTPASS has similar issues.

Has been dire for some time but then I do have over 3000 passwords stored.

Shame as used to be a really good app, I still use it but is a pain in the butt most of the time

I use waterdox and it is really good, as in all the addons work, and it is not as flakey as firefox.

The 64 bit consumes more memory, for an undetectable increase of speed. Sure you can open over 3 gb in web pages, but 99.99% never even open 1Gig simultaneously. The other issue is that the 64 bit version was very unstable, and got worse with each new build.

For speed and cleanness I now use the chrome based "FlashPeak Slimjet" browser
