Odeon tickets on ebay - legit ?

Inigo_Montoya

theres a seller on ebay selling odeon tickets which he books himself
i.e.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/raja196767/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

to me this looks like someone using their unlimited card to book tickets for other people ?

How can this work as I would have thought they would always ask to see your unlimited card before you enter the screening room ? - or isnt that enforced ?

The link mentions selecting Tesco vouchers when picking up the tickets, so I imagine they are using Tesco clubcard points to make the bookings

https://secure.tesco.com/clubcard/boost/odeon-cinema/UK-003234.prd

Whether this goes against the T&Cs of Tesco Clubcards and/or the Odeon I'm not sure....

I dont think its tesco points as there would be a limit on how many points he has & this seller doesnt seem to have a limit on the number of tickets hes selling

More likely the selection button is the same for both tesco & unlimited bookings

Ive noticed there are actually multiple sellers doing this now eg

http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/vijay4s http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/xtreme2017-uk http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/laurpero3 http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/aty2678-6

Ive managed to identify the original seller i mentioned i.e.

http://djrajamusic.co.uk/

Ive also told Odeon about them so its up to them how they deal with it now as they are losign thousands of pounds of sales

Used to work for Odeon. Once reported ebay sellers who where selling pads of an offer that could only be gotten by someone n the company. That got shut down quickly.

Good on you to report it. Looks like somebody ay Odeon will be busy with Ebay shutting this scam down in the next few days. And some people will loose their passes due to t&c's.
