Change Of Address With Octagon

Hello,
I recently contacted my insurance provider Octagon and informed them of my new address which was the only change in my circumstance's and they have re-evuluated and quoted me £116! This seems a rather a ridiculous amount for a trivial change. I have moved to a better area and the property +parking arrangement is much the same as the property I came from. Is there any way of disputing this? I have been given 10 days to pay after that time they will cancel the policy.
Any replies appreciated. Thank you

Cancel the insurance and go elsewhere?
You can query the cost, but they have you over a barrel. Either pay or go elsewhere which is often more expensive.
Just because you think its a better area doesnt mean that it gets fewer claims than your previous address.
I remember a thread on here where someone claimed for every tiny mark on their car and made so many claims the insurance said no more. Some people want to get their moneys worth from their insurer.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

What do you actuaries think it should be?Is there any way of disputing this?
No. They are free to price up how they like based on the information analysed by their actuaries analysis of claims data.

The criminals tend to do their damage in the better areas and not on their doorstep. Claims tend to be higher value where things are "better".
Was the change in postcode just the second bit or did it change the first bit too?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
