  • Yes we have twice now 1st time fly with My Travel.. second time Thomas Cook... cheap flights cheap service but you get what you pay for IMHO...

We put up with it going out but have pad the extra and upgraded comiing home so as to be more comfy.. and we have never paid the extra for the meals but always been handed them onboard.

We flew to Toronto with them last year. We were delayed on the way out by about 4 hours which was a bit annoying but can happen with anyone.

We flew MyTravel both ways - flights were fine, service was fine. I'd definitely use them again if they are the cheapest option.
  • Hi

Used them twice and had no problems. Thomas cook for flights, have to say they were not very comfortable but you get what you pay for. Also booked our accomdation through them which at the time worked out cheaper than anywhere else, but best to shop around first
Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!

on our trip to Toronto , Travelbag were cheaper. they used a airline called Air Transat.

it a unusual airline as it simply middle ground. i.e not a no frills airline but not as high up and fancy as say Virgin ect. all said and done the 2 flights were very pleasant ( and on time !) and the seats + pitch were good . would definatly use them again
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
  • Hi,

I booked my flights to Toronto through Canadian Affair as they are by far the cheapest especially now that Globespan fly into Toronto Hamilton now instead of Pearson (i.e. a lot further away from Toronto city) and returned from Toronto a couple of weeks ago.

In summary, you get what you paid for, although I do have some nice things to say about my flight.

My outward bound flight was delayed for 6 hours! I was given £8 food and drink vouchers which weren't enough as at the airport prices are expensive. When we finally got on the plane it was good to know that there were plenty of leg room although you don't get a tv in front of you, you have to look down the aisle. The food was surprisingly good and we got served dinner and breakfast since the flight was delayed so much. Also our drinks were complimentary because of the flight delay so I didn't spend a penny during the flight which is unusual for a budget airline. I didn't even have to pay for earphones to listen to Shrek 3 as they lent you adaptors so i could plug my Ipod earphones in to listen to the movie. So by the time I landed in Toronto I had quite forgotten that we had been delayed. My advice: ask for a blanket as soon as you sit down as they only hold a limited amount on board. I had to share one with my Mum and sister.

On the way home, I travelled with My travel, they departed on time and arrived early! And on the tvs in front of you, you could look at forward and downward views from the plane as they have cams. That was pretty good to have if not a bit nauseous to watch when lifting off. The food was awful and the seats are really cramped, and for some reason they didn't turn the light off for people to sleep. The staff on my flight were a bit crouchy too they were only cheerful and friendly when we had arrived in England. All in all, I was thankful the flight was shorter going home than going out.

I would consider looking at Canadian affair again just to see if I was unlucky with my outward bound flight but would be prepared to pay more to go business class if I could afford it.
