PeacefulWaters is right. If the bank and the Ombudsman don't want agree with you then your only option is court. This costs money and has no guarantee of success, especially since the Ombudsman Service have a far greater remit and are far more consumer friendly than a court.


Martin doesn't give individual advice to posters on the forum. He sold the site some years back and now contributes a few leaders every so often. If you don't want to hear from "armchair bloggers" you are sadly in the wrong place.

OP you need to understand Martin doesn't post on here, if you want personal advice from him then you need to catch him when he does his TV show around the country.

I tried contacting directly, there is no direct email on this site as it would be pandemonium if that got out, I am a rational person, I've tweeted, thats all I'll say.

He may have sold it years ago but I'm aware that he looks over from time to time and also his team do, so a message can get to him.

It was mentioned earlier but get a copy of your 3 reports from the 3 credit agencies and let us know ow what each 1 says or the negatives that are listed.

This has to be a wind-up, surely.

Surely no-one would genuinely think Martin replies to every thread on here (or any of them, for that matter).

I never said he replied to everything on here, i said he likely has a quick glance when he is not too busy.

Do NOT put words in my mouth (or finger tips in this case)!

And it is not a wind up, it was recommended to me to get intouch so I did, I called his management earlier today but they don't manage this aspect, only his television/ tour appearances.

And then I posted on the forum in the hopes he or his team would see it but instead I get a load of internet trolls weighing when I don't want to hear from internet trolls, this is what it says on the MSE Twitter:

"Founded by @MartinSLewis dedicated to cutting your costs, finding deals, beating the system & fighting your corner. RTs aren't endorsements."

This part in particular, I have not received today 'beating the system & fighting your corner'

I don't even know why I'm still posting to be honest, I don't like the forum culture of the internet, I said I want to hear from experts or at least people in the know, not armchair bloggers who have nothing better to do, than to weigh in on something they don't understand!

You called his management, just why waste your time and that of his management ? They need time to book his TV slots, order his lunch etc.

Why don't you like the forum culture ?
