Can I buy a wii here to use in New Zealand ? if not how can i ?

My nephew is coming over from new zealand for christmass and we wanted to buy him a nintend wii to take home. Would a uk wii work in new zealand or if not any suggestions how to get round this ? thanks

Have you consider the cost of taking it back to New Zealand?

The only thing you will need to power it is to convert the UK 3 pin plug to a New Zealand 3 pin plug.
The New Zealand TV system also uses PAL so it should work no problems.

Cost of getting it to NZ I think they weigh about 3-4KG when boxed, buy one of the Wii bags to carry it in and let him have his very own hand luggage to take it home.

Thanks LITTLEJOHN great reply gives me all the information I need to know. He will be using it once he gets it for christmass here so there will be no problem taking ti in his handluggage. I have on myself and they are a good compace size.
You have made a little boys christamss a bit better as we werent to sure how it would all work which was putting us off as it would be a costily mistake.
