Suet balls - where to order online?

Does anyone know where to buy good suet balls online (postage to Ireland)

I've had two different brands from Amazon and sent them back due to being too hard and no interest from the birds even when mashed up.

Thanks in advance.

Jacobi Jayne do delivery to Irelnd: £6 standard delivery to NI or "at cost" to Eire - ask them for a quote.

They supply "Chunky Dumplings" which are much better than the ones bulked out with sand etc.

You'll have to calculate the best number to order to get value for money from the postage!

    85g pack of 6 £3.39 / handipack of 18 £8.79 / Valuepack of 48 £19.79.

    100g x6 £3.99 / 18 £9.99 / 48 £22.99.

Not really what you asked about but...I've stopped buying suet balls as they are expensive and, as you say, can be hard. I had to break up my last lot with a hammer.

Now I buy a packet of lard (49p) melt it and add some seeds / nibbled nuts / mealworms then let it harden again in various yogurt pots or aluminium dshes. Birds love it all, especially the blackbirds which normally can't reach balls in the holders.

    Takes five minutes each time.

    Funny you should say that.

I switched brands a few years ago for a week or two and the birds just turned their noses up at the new brand I was feeding them.

    Fussy little !!!!!!s aren't they ? :)
