Help - Parking charge notice - i dont wish to pay

My son and i went to see my mother who lives in a permit only area. My brother accidentally drove off with the permit the week before and, i was we were just popping in to see her with some shopping, didn't think about the permit and forgot to leave a note to say where we were and my telephone number if there was a problem and we got a parking charge notice. I did email the company to say that we have a permit but didn't have it on us, which they rejected. As there was no financial loss, do i have to pay the charge?

Read up in the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum on how to deal with this issue.
You do need to take it seriously, and TG that thread will show you the steps to take.
At the same time get on to the landowner and/or their agent and ask them to get this cancelled0 -

just follow the advice in the newbies sticky thread
nobody "has to pay it" unless a judge says so, its merely a speculative invoice from a private company , nothing more0
