I have not been made redundant, just forgotten

Hi, I need some advice on my situation. I worked as a support worker for a company since 2004. In 2006 I became a team leader for the same company. I had two separate contract. After my son was born in 2009 I came back to my two jobs but made redundant as a team leader in 2011. I asked my boss if my contract as a support worker stands and he said yes. He told me I would be called to work when they need me. I was a new mum and I was glad to have some more time away. I've never been asked for any shifts as a support worker since.
I would like to have some closure now. Am I still employed with this company or does my contract expires after certain time of inactive service? Should I asked to be made redundant? Thank you for your advice.
