Can any of you car experts out there identify the following make of car? I used to be quite familiar with makes but I don't think I've seen one of these before.
What I presume to be the manufacturer's badge in the centre of the boot lid appeared to be a capital "T". The vertical bar of the "T" was in the style of a downward pointing arrow and the horizontal bar had serifs as in Times New Roman. It may have been on a circular background/badge. The model name/number on the right of the boot looked like "TS III".
It was a "P" reg so I guess it was probably about 20 years old (don't think it was a personal plate). The car had a generally sporty, coupe-type appearance. Did wonder if it may have been a kit-car.
Any ideas?

Ah...thank you interstella
I did think that it looked like a Hyundai coupe but it definitely didn't have the stylised "H" badge, which threw me.
I also wondered if it may have been a Japanese import but the rear plate was a standard letter-box shape rather than the square ones that I thought were used for imports.0 -

All the rage in the modding scene at the moment. :rotfl:0 -
Thanks DUTR
I think it was probably the Hyundai rather than the Celica.
But it definitely wasn't badged as either a Hyundai or a Toyota (or at least not a badge I recognised) so did wonder if it may have been some sort of non-standard import.0 -

Funnily enough, when it overtook us, my wife said "Is that a Tesla?" (we'd just got back from Amsterdam where Teslas seem to be all the rage). I said no as I thought it was too old...plus it wasn't a Tesla badge.0 -

Hyundai are also know as Tuscani somewhere in the world.
Some Hyundai owners like to swap the Hyundai badge for a Tuscani one for some reason......0 -

OK - that makes sense. May have been an import.
