Switching from N&P

I have a current account with N&P which are going to be closing down. They do not belong to the switching scheme so does this mean I am not entitled to any cashback for joining a new bank such as TSB or Halifax. Their terms seem to say to me that you have to use the switching service to get the cashback. Thanks.

Yes it does mean that. You won't be able to get any switching bonus.

You will probably be able to use the old-style switching scheme, sometimes called a manual switch, which means that your new bank will ask the N&P for a list of all your regular payments, but it won't close your N&P account and it doesn't come with any guarantee or automatic redirection of payments or credits. Banks won't give you a bonus for using this form of switching.
