EDF Energy £80 back through Top Cashback
If you go through the Top Cashback site and sign up for a new fixed dual fuel tariff with EDF Energy they will give you £80 cashback! This offer is only on for the next 3 or maybe even 2 days - so hurry.
We gave them the details of our consumption for the last 12 mths and they sent us a quote by email - did this just so we could see what it might be, and it was £4 less than the present collective fix with British Gas - fixed to Jan 2018.
Then we went through the Top Cashback site and, rather than retrieving our quote, went through the whole procedure from scratch (it might be important to do it this way to get the cashback). I had a few questions about the procedure so set up online chat with customer services as i was filling in the forms. They were very helpful and sent me a copy of our chat which was quite detailed in terms of dates and working out fractions of the month we would still be with British Gas and how much that might cost etc.
So all in all we were very pleased.

I have just run a comparison (based on kWhs/year not £s), and the cheapest deal that EDF can offer me is £201 more per year than I am paying at the moment (£665) , and I switched to a new supplier only a month ago. Doing a simple comparison between BG and EDF will not reveal the cheapest deals. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Quidco has a large number of complaints that EDF are very slow to pay the cashback. Some are 7 months + and counting!0
