NHS lease car scheme poor credit

Hi all

I have recently qualified and start working for hey trust and I'm thinking of opting into the lease car scheme. Does anyone know if you can still do this if you have poor credit?

Thanks in advance

  • Do you mean a salary sacrifice lease??

I am not nhs but we are on our second one with my employer and we are in the middle of a ten year DMP and have terrible credit score littered with defaults etc.
They take payment directly from your salary before you get it so always get paid, and the car is in their name, so there is no credit search..

Also, you are aware Salary sacrifice cars have been scrapped recently for all but zero emissions cars?? So if you are def doing it make sure to get it sorted by April as that's when it all ends...

They are taking the money straight from your salary, so there is never any doubt it will paid. I can't imagine you need any sort of credit score.
