Network interruption while applying for credit card

Options
Hey all,

I decided to apply for a credit card and used money supermarket to find a good deal for me to build some credit history.

The best deal was one "pre approved" from Aqua card.

I went to their site and filled out the application and submitted it, it took about 30 seconds while "making their decision" and came back with an offer for a card, subject to a final check. And required me to read the terms and conditions and check the card contract etc, sign and click agree and submit.

The problem is after clicking this on the next screen it said "connection interrupted" and bumped me back to the application form.

I have been trying to improve my credit for years and I have been very careful, now I'm concerned that this will show a search for a credit card on my credit file that didn't go through when actually I DID want to apply!

What do you guys think I should do in case I call them tomorrow and find they have no record of the application?

A little concerned!

Thanks in advance.

Mark

If there's no record, then there's no search.

Give them a call, explain what went on. They can most likely finish the application over the phone, and if not - start a new one which will most likely be successful. Don't worry that much about searches, as if you are in Aqua card range, you won't be seeking more credit in next 3-6 months anyway.
  • Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
