Balance Transfer Vanquis to Sainsburys

Hi all,
I have applied and been accepted for a Sainsbury's Bank CC. 42 Months 0%.
This morning having rung Sainsbury's at their request to arrange balance transfer from Vanquis, I have been informed they are unable to process as they only do 'Faster Payments', Vanquis currently ( and rather conveniently) do not accept 'FP'.
Vanquis gave me a sort code and account no to give to Sainsbury's to do a manual payment, Sainsbury's cannot do this as mentioned above, they only do 'FP'.
After numerous phone calls to both providers I am no further forward in resolving this issue.
I am incredibly frustrated by both providers, and as I type I see my only way forward is to continue to make my minimum repayments to Vanquis, leave my Sainsbury CC alone (spend £5 and pay it off so its not entirely dormant) until such time as Vanquis decide to change their FP practices.
Anyone any solutions??
TIA

It's a Vanquis issue, not Sainsburys.
Look for a money transfer option. Failing that, 0% purchases, min payments and direct cash to the Vanquis card.0 -
I recently got a HSBC card with 32 month 0% and WAS able to transfer from Vanquis to them, cleared the last of the Van and closed it down yay.
Not as long a 0% as the sainsburys card but might be an option? I didn't go for the sainsburys card as the elig checker only gave me a 60% chance of getting that but 80% for HSBC, so looks like if you could get the sainsburys you may well get the HSBC.
Obviously up to you, but its another option.

I did the same but with Tesco and they transferred the cash over to Vanquis (I did this on Saturday and it's showing as a credit when I check My Vanquis). Vanquis charge interest by the day, so it's not a surprise that they are stalling. Could Sainsburys transfer the funds into your current account, and then you pay Vanquis using your debit card??0

I don't know CakeCrusader. I feel reluctant to ask as I have rung them numerous times today!
Is this a viable option / solution?0 -
Only if they will do it as a money transfer option - not a cash advance.0
