Car Insurance - declare claim on 2nd car?

Hi,
I hope someone can help me. I have never come across this before. I own two cars A and B. I was driving car B and rolled the car into a small wall while parking - no one else involved. I have claimed on my car insurance under Car B for that and the work has been completed.
today I received my renewal car insurance for Car A. Do I declare the claim I have made under the insurance for Car B?
Both are two different insurance companies.
Almost sure I do have to declare it but just wanted to make sure - the wording is a bit ambiguous.

Yes you need to declare it.
The wording will be something like 'have you claimed in the last 3 years' - and you have.0 -

Here is an example of the wording you may see "Has the driver had any accidents, losses, thefts, incidents or claims in the last 3 years (regardless of fault)?"
So clearly you have to answer yes and will have to give details. It doesn't refer to claims under the policy.
If I read you right that you have two policies - you have no made claim on the one due for renewal for your other car, so it may not have as much impact on this one as you fear. But that is up to the insurer.
But per fururegirl - don't lie. And call them if you are unsure what is being asked.I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
I do however reserve the right to be correct by accident.0 -

Nor, apparently, is it restricted to car insurance.
Are we supposed to just assume that, or do we answer the question literally despite the obvious absurdities? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I think to be fair the question quoted is pasted is out of overall context - but you are right that insurers don't always achieve absolute clarity.Clifford_Pope wrote: »Nor, apparently, is it restricted to car insurance.

I'd answer that in respect of car insurance related activity.I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
