If you’re the gambling type Akihabara has capsule machines filled with opaque capsules and hidden prizes. To test your luck you put in a 1,000 yen ($9), grab the capsule and cross your fingers. I watched as people passed by and tried it out. No one won anything big, but there was a photo wall with Polaroids of lucky gamers proudly holding their systems above their head.
