Just a heads up that this "scam" is doing the rounds in beauty website advertising again.

Mrs DoaM got sucked in by it last week, in this case for DERMAGEN iQ cream. She ordered the "free" sample, needing only to pay P+P at £2.95. Bargain eh? (not)

Then she realised what she'd done and told me. Fortunately we've been through and cancelled the subscription, and I've contacted the credit card company to ensure no future transactions for clinicderma are allowed - they'd already set up a subscription on the card account! (I realise we'll need to send the samples back ... not surprisingly the returns address is Cyprus, even though they've shipped from the UK).

Just a warning for people to remember that it's easy for some to fall prey to such advertising.

I also stupidly fell for this as the original link on Facebook was that if for free samples of Debenhams Dior cream, until I clicked confirm order and it turned out to be nothing to do with Debenhams but an unknown cream from Beauty and Truth. They said they were sending a sample of cream with £4,95 shipping. I contacted my Bank and cancelled my card so they can't take any more money and phoned Beauty and Truth who sent an email saying further subscriptions are cancelled. My worry is Why should I send the cream back? It is a con, nothing to do with Dior samples from Debenhams. He said to refuse to take it in when the postman delivers and it and put Return to Sender. I don't know what to do when it comes. either not send it back at all, take it in and pay to send it back or what.

A number of the Debenhams Dior cream are popping up on Facebook the past few weeks.

Debenhams closing 10 stores, get this amazing offer of a Dior face cream etc. I replied to a query in a Facebook group I am a member of about the free cream. Total them it was a switch and bait and do not sign up. Believe it or not one was actually a jewellery company nothing to do with cosmetics, but the same Debenhams Dior ad.

Whatever you do, please don't use the product. Goodness knows what could be in it!

If the trial/free sample comes I don't even want it in the house! Do I send it back and pay extortionate p&p or ignore it and risk them chasing me.

I too fell for this SCAM! It was supposed to be supported by Dragons Den but it is a lie! DO NOT ASK FOR THE FREE SAMPLE AS IT IS NIT FREE! You have to return this "free" item to CYPRUS although it comes from UK. They also take money from your card on a monthly "subscription"! What a SCAM!
