Barclaycard Statments Protection - limiting usefullness

I used to be able to copy text in Barclaycard Statements PDF's - I probably used to used t simply "Print to PDF", from the website using Chrome and/or a PDF Printer (Driver) - so the generated PDF generally had no security password/set.
The Barclaycard website now, however, allows you to download PDF Statements - however, the statements seem to be password protected but not required to open ("Document Open Password: No") the files.
However I'm unable to copy/paste from the statement, I assume because of the "Content Copying: No" setting. I suspect security (perhaps "Content Accessibility Enabled:
No") is also limiting the ability of windows to search the statements.
Any suggestions, other than going back to the old Print to PDF method.
I'm not Barclaycard need to be so cautious.
