Help with cost of braces?

Hi, my girlfriend is thinking about getting braces for her teeth, she has very little money. She is getting income based universal credit and is 32 years old. Is she able to get any help with costs? Thanks

She won't get NHS treatment, but she would be able to get a monthly payment plan. Still be a lot of money each month that the government is giving her mainly to support her essential needs and her children, certainly not to improve her physical appearance, so maybe she should think about whether this is a reasonable cost to add to her budget.
