I actually like veggie haggis, and it tastes nothing like veggie sausages or burgers, thank goodness. Most are gross, albeit there are a couple of exceptions, but so long since I've had either, I can't remember what the decent ones were.
Got some veggie haggis in the freezer, portioned for whenever it takes my fancy, not necessarily Burns night. Keep meaning to try making my own version, but never quite got round to it. One of these days.....0 -
I love haggis too. Can't get enough of PN's eyelids, bumholes and wobbly bits.;)You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.1

Only tend to eat Haggis when up in Scotland. The ones in my local supermarket are just too fatty.
My OHs mother brings white pudding over from the RoI when she visits. That is yummy!!1 -

Do you have a recipe to use, or would you be "winging it"?Anne_Marie wrote: »I actually like veggie haggis, and it tastes nothing like veggie sausages or burgers, thank goodness. Veggie haggis gives those of us who cannot eat meat a chance to join in - and I'd certainly be interested in a recipe to make my own.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)1 -

A great tip on that link for a real haggis recipe:
“Leave the windpipe out of the pan to disgorge the phlegm.”
Right...
