Should I switch as fixed period is ending

Evening everyone,
I'm looking for a little advice. I currently get my gas & electricity with Ovo and my 1 year fixed rate is ending 01/02/17. I'm trying to decide if I should switch supplier or stick and renew with Ovo for another year
My current prices are :
Gas - 2.60p/kwh with 27.4p/day standing charge
Electricity - 11.8p/kwh with 27.4p/day standing charge
I pay £147.00 per month (high useage here but thats another matter)
Now Ovo have offered another 1 year fixed rate which will cost £180.00 per month, increase of £33.00 per month
The cheapest quotes I'm getting are from small newer suppliers so I'm a little nervous to switch. My quotes include:
Iresa Limited - £148.82 per month (quoted by Uswitch)
Avro Energy - £160.00 per month (quotes by MSE compare tool)
Eon - £166.53 per month (cheapest big supplier) and Swalec are pretty close to this price too.
I currently have a smart meter with Ovo so would this be a problem if I switch?
I've been round and round with this for the last few weeks but I really need to decide as the end date is fast approaching.
Thanks

Unless you have a reason not to, go with whoever offers you the lowest annual price for your anticipated annual usage in kWh.
(Once you have decided, don't forget to look for possible cashback too! :money:)
Having a smart meter should not prevent you switching supplier, but your smart meter won't be smart anymore.0 -

The Govt now estimates that your smart meter will save you £11 a year but only if the meter persuades you to turn things off.
Stay with Ovo and pay £33 a month more or switch to Iresa and pay £1.82 a month more. Is it really worth paying an extra £31 per month just for the convenience of not having to read your meter? You will still save the £11 a year if you remember to switch off items not in use. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
