Extractor hood a requirement?

I have a kitchen with an Induction Hob and an extractor hood between units. I need a gas fired hob as well and I'm planning to get a single burner hob to be placed on the worktop next to a double window and reasonably away from walls (following the installation guide). Am I breaking any building rules? Do I need an extractor on top of this standalone burner? Even if it is next to a window?

Have you considered a small portable gas cartridge single burner camping type stove or do you want or need a fitted mains gas hob?
We keep one handy for emergencies such as a failure of our mains gas supply.
They cost under £20.0 -

Yes I would like a fixed hob, the alternative is to replace the induction hob with a gas burner.0 -
The only requirement is an opening door or window to outsideI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Will it be convenient to have two separate hobs?Yes I would like a fixed hob, the alternative is to replace the induction hob with a gas burner.
Is there a gas supply where the induction hob is installed or where you plan to fit the single burner hob?
Mixed fuel hobs are widely available.
For example induction one side with gas burners on the other side.
We are spoiled for choice these days.0
