Wynnington Comps

Hello, Guys I'm brand new to this forum so welcome me aboard to this forum. I've just posted a word search competition from the Times to win £17,000 and I just wanted to know has anybody heard of the competition/company, I posted the completed word search due to the fact I didn,t want to phone the PRS phone line which would of cost £3.60 a min. So is this company legit?

By "legit" meaning acting within the law then they probably are.

If they only get 50% of the phone charge then after 30,000 calls the prize fund is paid for and everything else covers expenses and profit.
To maximise the number of entries
competition may be promoted via different layouts of print and online media and may include various puzzle challenges

which includes the puzzles to solve on their website that you have to phone in the answer to enter

Your odds of winning the main prize are just over 510,000 to 1.

To me it sounds legit anyway and according to their website they advertise on loving the telly mag and take a break magazine. The comp closes tomorrow, so the winners will be announced on the 16th of May.

Advertising is something a company pays for and has no real bearing on whether they are legit or not.

The entry route you used may close tomorrow but I suspect there will be others that end much closer to the draw date of 16/05 otherwise why delay the draw for almost 5 months?

This is what I don,t get why does it take 5 months to announce a winner, most comps announce a winner a week later.
