Furious with Coventry/Noddle

Just venting some anger here

IVA taken out October 2010

Paid off early in 2015 on a F+F

IVA completed six years October 2016 and all other debts in the IVA plus the IVA dropped off my credit file in November so my credit rating went up to Good with clearscore and 3/5 on Noddle

Logged on to Noddle over the weekend and one of my IVA loans (Coventry moregage unsecured loan) has reappeared with a six year date of March this year

My noddle rating is back down to 1/5

Anyway I will wait until April as it will disappear again but I'm raging as to how it has popped back on my credit file again despite it all going at the end of the IVA six year period in October last year

Who do you think is to blame? Noddle or Coventry? I've raised a dispute with Noddle but it takes 28 days and it will be nearly March by then anyway

Its an irritant and its lucky I'm not looking for credit right now or to remortgage or something

Rant over :-)

If the problem persists there is a standard letter you can get off here and you need to send it to the banks Data Controller. if you do a search on the internet you will find a proper register with all bank controllers listed. Use the standard letter from martin lewis for this purpose in regards to bankruptcy/iva poeple and fill in the gaps. Send a copy of your completion notes etc with their acount refs and IVA start and completion dates. Also include a document that shows their account as part of yuor IVA. I used a very early crediters sheet i had form my IP. I did all this with the Bank of Irland following advice, and all went in 2 months. The letter is legaly written and threatens appropriate ombudsman action if the info is not removed within a specific time frame.
Waste of time talking to normal bank costemer services.
Noddle unlickly to remove it as they prefer the bank to.

    regards

    Re: Account Number ………..

After consultation with both the InformationCommissioner and the Credit Reference Agencies, I am writing directly to you torequest that you formally update my credit files in accordance with the DataProtection Act.

I had an IVA with official start /default date of and subsequently this was completedon with . The above account wasincluded within the IVA arrangement. For your convenience I have included acopy of the completion letter including relevant dates.

Currently the information that you have recorded against my name with theCredit Reference Agencies is factually incorrect and as yet your company hasfailed to correct the entries as required.

It is required the default date must be no later than in accordance with the Data ProtectionAct.

It is also required that you now mark the account settled or satisfied, inaccordance with the Data Protection Act.

The Information Commissioner has indicated that I should allow you 28 calendardays from the date you receive this letter to comply, during this time you arerequested either to update the Credit Reference Files correctly (of all threeCredit Reference Agencies) or notify me in writing the reasons that you refuseto.

After the 28 days have elapsed the Information Commissioner has requested thatI inform them if your company fails to update the records so that they may takeany necessary enforcement action against your company.

Please note that if this account falls within the remit of the FOS, I willalso be submitting a separate complaint to them regarding this matter if theCredit Reference Files are not correctly updated.

    Yours faithfully

    Cheers for the reply

To be honest by the time I do any of that it will drop off anyway as the 6 year period for the incorrect date will be over. I'm more annoyed it was all spot on and had disappeared completely for two months and this weekend this one loan popped up again with the wrong default date. I don't actually understand how it could have happened as I had written to Coventry a year ago and they updated the default dates to match the IVA date so its weird its reverted back to March some 5 months later than it should be!! I assume its some automated reporting system in the Coventry that has overwritten the previous correction

I hope you're right about it dropping off. the reason I sent mine was because it hadn't dropped off. Noddle etc weren't interested and said I had to approach the banks.

After sending the letters etc....all dropped off quickly.

    best wishes
