Named driver question

I am the named driver on my girlfriends insurance however they have spelled my surname wrong , when she rang them they said they would send out a new policy but after waiting and calling again they said it was ok as they had me down at their end with the right spelling , surely if I get pulled over it will cause problems .The first time she called it was to confirm / correct the new policy details so surely they should change it?

It wont cause any problems- I work for an insurance company and see bad spellings on a daily basis- some have been on for years and claims made- dont worry, just chase the documents

You will have 7 days to produce your certificate of insurance, so if that happens you can insist on getting one from the insurer.

as they say they will not be sending out a new document

if it happens the police can request a letter of indemnity from the insurer
