We have an offshoot running of our terraced house, kitchen downstairs, bathroom above. We had an awful lot of damp in bathroom, partly to blame was an old chimney breast with no ventilation. As the ceiling was wet beneath old polystyrene ceiling tiles and bowed, the ceiling had to come down. Luckily when one of the workmen was busy he felt a drip on the back of his neck. A pipe must of been slowly dripping for years in the corner of the bathroom, but when ceiling was up it was impossible to reach as couldn't get around water tank in loft to reach it

I think I found the leak, was on the case till 2 in the night, so the toilet is not overflowing and no leaks anywhere on cistern either.
I have a waterfall shower, I had a problem with thermostat a while ago and I asked the company to come and change it for 150 quid. There is a leak coming from the metal plate that is stuck on the wall, I think i have to take out the metal plate and dig in may be something there has failed, the wall behind the shower which is airing cupboard is all wet there too. I have to find out how to open it up and get behind it.
