Condensation in loft - caused by recessed spotlights?
thank you all for your comments with regard to this one. I have been up in the loft and although there are no vents that I can see, it does seem like there is some airflow. I can see that there is a lot more condensation on the loft felt above the kitchen and the bathroom so I think that definitely quite a lot of moisture is getting through the lights.
I am going to replace all the lights with IP rated fire proof lights and bed them on silicone to prevent any excess moisture getting into the loft. I am also going to look into additional ventilation.
I will let you know if this improves the situation.
It’s a leak the clue should be “I woke up to find that the walls above the windows in the lounge and bedroom was very wet.” no prior indicators just wham litres of water produced defying the laws of psychics ,
