Hello
My eldest son is looking at buying a new Peugeot 208 on Just add fuel PCP
approx figures :-
£1500 deposit
3 years approx £230 monthly payments
Final option to pay £4.5k
Big selling point for him is the insurance and have been doing some research and have come accross a example on MSE where the insurance was cancelled if received a SP30 https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5430456
Have looked @ Peugeot Insurance t&c's but not conclusive
http://www.peugeot.co.uk/just-add-fuel-passport-terms-conditions/
As son is 26 won't need a Telematics where it states "Insurance subject to cancellation if four warnings are received for poor driving"
Any one know , or have a JAF experence would appreciate it
Cheers Steve

This put my youngest son off using this scheme.
The salesman said if he got caught speeding his insurance would be cancelled but the monthly cost would remain the same for the full term of the agreement0 -
You can buy a lot of car for £10,000 and after three years you will own it.0

If i was buying one I would buy a 1 -3 year old model for approx 6 -9k as my insurance is a lot cheaper due to my age
I can see the appeal for my son as he pays £700 insurance per year
So approx
Ins £700*3 =2100
Service £150*3 =450
Breakdown cover £100*3 = 300
Total £2850
Means he is paying
£14280 - £2850
£11430 for a new car with the bonus of 3 year warranty , no MOT etc
But the t and c for insurance would be the killer
And buying new always costs more but does have a lot of plus points0 -
