Hi,
Was wondering if anyone can help. I'm looking into any potential PPI claims for my Dad who has had lots of loans over the years. I've found on AIB loan statement a transaction of £8800 for "Manual Ins" and can't find out what it is? Anybody know anything about this and if this a potential claim?
thanks

£8800 would suggest a significant loan amount if it was PPI. Sounds like a manual entry for something. What type of loan was this for? What do AIB say when you ask them?Anybody know anything about this and if this a potential claim?

Manual Instruction? Is this money going in or out i.e. increasing or reducing the loan balance?0

This was for Business loan, original amount was £104,000. I need to speak to AIB regarding the amount, I was just trying to understand it more before I do.. I thought the ins meant insurance, but someone has just mentioned it as an instruction..0 -
Des the company he borrowed the loan for still exist?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

It is possible an insurance premium for the loan given the size and age (£104,000 loan is equivalent to a lot more now) and business banks are allowed to insist on cover of sorts or you get no loan. If that is bank policy, it's not miss-sold as he could reject it and go elsewhere
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Okay thank you. I am going to ring and find out more.0
