Tumble dryer tripping the electrics...

Options
Hi we have recently moved into a new build and plugged the tumble dryer in the garage, it lasted a few mins and then tripped the electrics, then it wouldnt work at all, i had the site electrician down to have a quick look and he said the socket is fine, even checked the fuse box and everything else in the house so im thinking it must be the dryer, although before we moved it was fine..
So my question is has anyone else had this? it works still for a few secs then cuts, is it worth calling someone out? it is about 2 years old poss but unsure tbh..any ideas? thankyou.

    Dampness in the air?

Appliances are not designed to work in such conditions normally and, if it's on a trip, the slightest bit of dampness will cause it to trip out. Fuller explanation here.
