Toshiba TV & Sky Q problem

We recently had Sky Q installed.
One of the TV's has now stopped working properly (Toshiba)
The picture stopped (but the sound could still be heard) and I cant get the remote to do anything apart from turning on and off the TV.
Its not responding at all so Im not sure if its the TV itself which has - very coincidentally - broken just as the sky box was installed - or whether its the TV itself.
Any clues or ideas as to how I can try to get the TV up and running again? Ive tried turning off and on again etc......
TIA

check the hdmi lead is in tight or faulty/try another one.
Take out the hdmi lead and plug in a aerial to check if the Tv is Ok as a Tv
or turn off HDMI control in sky Box settings/services0 -
so ive managed to connect the box to another Tv and its working in that so seems its the Tv and not the box.0

im not techy
however
i have sky q
i would reboot whole system
by pullin plug for a minute
not just turnin it off?
just as an idea :beer:decaffeinated coffee, shortbread , brussel sprouts, whats not to love:D0 -
We have SkyQ and we do occasionally have to re-boot either the main box or just the mini-box. Just switching them off for a few minutes has worked so far.
Not quite the same, but we had a problem with the mini box 'losing connectivity'.... Seem to have solved that (fingers crossed!) by re-booting the BT Hub.0 -
As Silvertabby says above, but switch off the Q-Box at the power socket, or unplug it. Wait 30 seconds or so, plugin/switch back on, carry on with Reset.
To prove if it is definitely the TV or not: do you have the original TV remote? (not Sky remote) If so, plug in the aerial and try to use the TV with its original remote.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

.. sorry, I did mean to say 'switch off at the socket', as Robisere says.0
