Nest thermostat and system boiler
Comments

Ok I "think" i may have solved it!
I waited until the schedule heating time that I had set up and noticed that it did not switch on so looked in the settings and noticed there was an on/off toggle that was set to off. I have switched it on and it is now heating at the scheduled time.
I will keep an eye and hopefully ok.
Just one quick question. If I boost the water and the tank is nice and hot and then the scheduled heating time comes on what happens. Does it send more hot water to the tank and get rid of the already hot water or just send what it needs to fill it up??? Might be a stupid question but I cannot get my head around how this system boiler works.
Thanks again

Similar in some ways to a conventional boiler (as opposed to a combi), but different in others:

Looks like changing that setting over did work as we have now had a day with lovely hot water again
Still struggling to get my head around how the tank works when I keep heating the hot water what actually happens with there now being no thermostat on the tank but Im sure I will figure it eventually.
Thanks for your help. We will definately go for a combi when this needs replacing as it seems like a much more efficient way of heating/hot water.

The only real difference to a normal boiler (as opposed to a combi) is that it is fitted to a sealed system which you fill up via a filling loop as opposed to a small roof tank & the pump is inside the boilerI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
