I run norton internet security 2004 at the moment and my subscription runs out soon. I bought what I thought was a complete 2005 package, but when it arrived on the box it says it is an upgrade.
Please can someone tell me what the difference is between a complete package and an upgrade. Is it not a complete version?
Also I have heard of people who have had probs with installing upgrades and my computer knowledge is nil, so need an easy option.

you should be fine with what you have - upgrading 2004 to 2005. Its only when you run into problems with Norton that you have problems!!0

Am I correct in assuming this isn't a complete version and also normally I delete my original version and then install my new package, what do I do now. Also do I get the live updates.
Sorry its all questions from me!!!! I don't know much0 -
Hi,
I have upgraded Norton in the past, and yes it is very successful. I seem to recall that it handles the upgrade without any need to un-install the previous version, and stops all the necessary services itself, and so on.
Yes, you get a full year of autoupdates too.
Should be painless, and you have saved yourself a bob or two over a non-uprade version.
Hope that helps,
Regards,
