Rather than the cinder track why not get the bus up to Robin Hoods bay then head back along the coast (Cleveland Way) If I remember rightly its about 12 miles or so and is a nice walk.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0

I love the Sealife Centre in Scarborough, after there, there's the ability to walk along the beach, explore the shops and taking a ride on an open top bus. Aside from taking the bus, the walk along the sea to where the amusements are is a lovely walk too. Peasholm Park is also very beautiful0
