Hi,
I am just about to buy a house in the North West of England for 100k. It is a 3 bedroomed link house, build in 1965 with no alarm fitted. I am wanting to get a basic building insurance and contents insurance for it, Please could anyone advise me the cheapest repitable company to go through (I have tried more than and the quoted me 18 pound per month- is this good?)
I also want critical illness cover for me and my partner, to pay out on diagnosis or sudden death, I have been quoted over 30 pound per month from Norwich Union.
Can anyone better these, or give me some advise.
Thanks in advance.

Are you signed up to quidco? I went through them for both my home and contents and car insurance with churchill and prudential, both reputable companies and made £160 in cashback as well as getting quotes cheaper than my renewal. My home and contents is about £18 per month too.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
