Premier park parking charge

Hello,
wondering if i could have some help, I received a parking notice today for failure to display a permit. I visited a friend who lives in a flat and the car park is privately owned. Got this charge saying I need to pay 60 pound in 2 weeks or it will be 100. I have been reading a lot on forums about this Premier park company and wondering if they an actually take legal action against me. The car is actually the registered keeper of my partner,. So hoping to argue this for him. How do I go about arguing this so i don't have to pay. Do i just write them a letter disputing it and hope they send a POPLA?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
thank you

Who is the PPC? [Edit: it's late I didn't read the title, its Premier Park Ltd. !!]
Also where did you park, in a visitors bay on the estate where your friend lives or somewhere else? If you parked on the estate the land will be owned by the freeholder whom has leased it to the leaseholders (e.g. the owners of the flats).
Need some more information really.0 -
It was in a car park for south downs view, they were just spaces all around the flat for apparent permit holders to park. I will go there tomorrow and take a pic of the sign however i know they are a private parking company and don't have a link to the actual building.0

Don't worry, if you only just got the PCN, as you will have seen from the newbies thread you have time to address this.
Find out from your friend if anyone else has had PCNs and what they did, e.g. does the Management Company or Freeholder cancel them or not.
Its getting more common unfortunately this Residential Parking control lark. If you were a genuine visitor to a resident then it will likely be very defensible.
Post up the information you have - don't reveal personal details though (and edit out who was driving in the original post ASAP) and someone will help you from there.0 -
