Dyson v6 - which one?!

My friend has the 'Fluffy' model which comes with a special head for hard floors. I see there's one called 'total clean' which has this head too. Both approx £230-250.
But I am tempted by Costco offering the 'animal' version for £195.
Is the extra head for hard floors worth the extra ££? Does the standard head blow the dust away from the brushes or does it pick up well on hard floors?
Thanks

I took it back. Someone stole our G-Tech out of husband's car, no great loss. And the Vax version is just as bad - that went back too.
I went back to a little Dyson that has a lead and actually hoovers

Oo-er that doesn't sound good!
I like my mum's gtech air ram for carpets but the dyson comes with crevice tool and removable stick so has potential to do everything ...0 -
I've got a dyson v6 absolute and while I find it lightweight and handy to use, I had a go of our kitchen fitters Henry and was well impressed with the suction power, if he'd had the floor attachment on it I would of done the whole house. No wonder cleaners use them, they're brilliant. It's just too bulky for storing.0

I'm a Dyson fan, but when I have any serious cleaning to do I use my cheapo Wickes £40 Henry look-alike (wet and dry!). Loud and bulky but much more powerful!0 -

I would say you can do hard floors as it should have a button to turn the brush off like all other dysons have so you can do hard floors.
but if you e mail dyson they could tell youSpending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0 -

Funny you should say that as I'm also planning to get one of these as well. Hoping I can plug the hose on to my palm sander for my furniture upcycling0 -
Got a V6 , suction valves at the top seem to clog up with fine dust , that areas covered in a non removable mesh , only way I get them clean is by blowing the crud out with a can of air duster.
Only 20 minutes MAX on a charge , pressing the MAX button on the back of the motor reduces it
Now use it only for the stairs and crevices and a Gtech air ram2 for the rest as it's more powerful and the battery lasts for agesEx forum ambassador

I bought my wickes machine as a garage vacuum, and connect it to miter saw, router and palm sander. Connections are all different and none of them are ever perfect, but close enough to make a difference to dust output.0
