Hi All
My friend's husband has been made 'redundant' although he hasn't received anything in writing from his employer. In a nutshell, a text was received from a co-worker saying that the company had gone bust and administrators were involved, the company premises are shut yet nothing has been received from either the employer or the supposed appointed administrators, to say that the company has gone into receivership/liquidation. No wages have been received since 23rd Dec and holiday pay plus redundancy money is now owed. Does anyone have any advice or can offer any help as to who to contact? I was thinking HMRC as apparently the employer is now trading again but without his former employees. My thinking for HMRC is dodging taxes etc?? Can my friends husband sign on without any documentation of being made redudant?
Thanks all
