I wanna northern Ireland number plate BAZ prefix

Thousands of cars are driven with plates like this day in day out, with a 7 on a slant or bolts in a certain place and they have no problems as I would assume and hope the police would have better things to do with their time. As for any argument that the police/speed cameras need the full number plate for ID'ng the car, this is wrong. They can get as near as damn a match from a partial number plate and make, model and colour of a car. ( I know a traffic copper)
But thanks for pointing it out as I believe that you were just trying to advise and save me from any possible hassle.
As I said I was thinking of a combination of numbers but it is a BAZ plate that I am after. If the DVLA did a Z in the suffix of the old number plates I would be laughing but thats life.I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0 -

Yes, there are thousands out there. They all get along just fine, right up until they don't (i.e. they get stopped and given a £30 fixed penalty). For some this will never happen, and in any case the chances are slim.
With regards to the cameras, some registration marks can be read (i.e. those with altered spacings), others cannot (particularly those with fixing bolts through the letters. A yellow bolt in the middle of an '8' will be read as a '0'.)barriejohn69 wrote: »But thanks for pointing it out as I believe that you were just trying to advise and save me from any possible hassle.
You're welcome. No moneysaver likes a fine.barriejohn69 wrote: »As I said I was thinking of a combination of numbers but it is a BAZ plate that I am after. If the DVLA did a Z in the suffix of the old number plates I would be laughing but thats life.
No reason at all why you shouldn't be able to get a BAZ plate. Prices appear to start from about £500:
I think the DVLA site is the best to buy from though, as you're not cutting in the middle man.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

You can get them from about 150 of the Queens English tho!
My neighbour is called Jill and she bought one for her S Type Jag that reads GIL then 4 numbers. How to make a car look hideous!
We all have personal number plates in our house. I think they are great
Barrie John, you go ahead and treat yourself....
I will have a look in our local papers and see if there are any reasonable BAZ plates going and message you.0 -

I apologise if that's not what you meant. I was merely trying to indicate to the OP that misrepresenting a number plate (by way of font, spacing, fixing bolts etc.) is an offence.
As long as your registration plate carries the British Standard mark BS AU 145a or BS AU 145d, then it's nice and legal. Without this, it's not a registration plate at all.
No problem at all.
I know spacing is an issue, as ais bolt placement etc but honestly so long as the plate is legible I sooner the police were fighting crime & stopping old ladies being mugged.
What I mean is if he wanted NIGEL he could try N1gEl, N7631, that type of thing. If you go onto DVLA it will show tyou the closest matches to the plate you are searching.0
