Hi Everyone,
I would really appericate it, if someone can give me some advice on how to fight a parking county court claim.
I parked in a private car park for an hour and paid my ticket. However, i arrived back to my car a few minutes later than i should.
I then received several letters demanding that i should pay £150. As advised, i ignored the letters and now received a letter from the "County Court Business Centre" in Northampton stating that, the company wishes to take me to court and now the total payable amount is £227.47 (Amount claimed £152.47, Court Fee £25, Legal representation costs £50).
I wish to defend myself; to allow sufficent time to write a strong defence.
Does anyone know of anywhere i could get some help with regards to helping me put together a good defence?
Thank you all in advance! :-)

please read post #1 of the NEWBIES sticky thread , court sub-section to start with
then search the forum using the forum search box for ongoing court claims over the last 6 months and you will find loads with outline defences , use them to draft your own
then post it here (redacted) for critique
each defence is bespoke , so dont expect templates for them , plus DO READ THE BARGEPOLE links from post #1 too - very , VERY important
and bear in mind that ONE of the many defence points will be GRACE PERIODS, so read up on them asap (plus poor or inadequate signage that fails the CoP , no locus standii , etc)0 -

As CM says you will get all the advice you need here, but fighting these tickets in court requires a lot of work on your part, and understanding some reasonably simple legal concepts. No-one here will hold your hand.
The amount they are asking for is silly money. They should know this but they a third division outfit struggling to make a dishonest penny.
Read some other threads about them. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
