BT Broadband abritrary price increase

BT have just increased the price of my broadband from £15 to £36 pm without notice. They said end of previous contract, but no new 12 month contract last year. Long term BT customer.
As B/B fee paid monthly in advance I noticed this 2 days into increased period. Their 'Customer Options' person offered a reduced price at £11pm for 12mnth contract. but would not adjust bill - have to pay increased amount and wait for a refund in next month's bill.
£36 pm for B/Band is outrageous !!

I would have thought that when you signed up to the 12 month contract you would have been told (either online or by phone) that the £15 a month is for 12 months & you will revert to £36 per month from month 13...Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,
Dau enaid ond un taith.0 -
Then take the £11 offer, sounds like a good deal. I'm not quite sure what you're unhappy with, very few companies will tell you when your offers end and you revert to full price. It's up to you to monitor your contracts be they 12/18/24 months long.0

Point to note OP is that BT have just announced price increases from April 2017 .

I don't know of any providers who tell you that your cut price offer is ended. It's up to the customer to shop around , haggle, then move if necessary.0
