Poundland have some nice things, they also have some not so nice things but if you keep looking there are some nice decs there. If you can wait until maybe the week before christmas BHS always reduce their christmas goodies and they have some lovely things.

24ace/studio cards are normally pretty good and I think they may have some items on sale at the moment http://www.24ace.co.uk/ss/index.jsp

I agree. I bought some Christmas decorations from Studio that I would not been able to afford otherwise. I bought them in the summer/autumn catalog though for 33% of the original price. And I love them, they are great and good quality, been buying a few things every year for the last 3 years now.

PLEASE don't always go down the shop bought route it can sometimes cost a fortune .

With a tin of gold/silver spray paint some twigs ,fairy lights, cheap baubles ,ribbon's ,cones it is amazing the effect you can get .

Didn't we have a thread last year on dec's will have a look now and report back.... did find it but couldn't do link sorry , help someone !!
  • Last year we bought a lovely christmas tree and decorations from B&Q i think it was the first week in december just as they had reduced them all to half price or less
someone posted it on here so keep looking out for it they are very good quailty. we got the one with the lights already on it
    A real bargain !
  • If you can, go for the simplistic real tree and a set of lights

then go to the sales, so glad I did it this way

got a 6 ft tree for £4 at b&q in January, along with dozens of lovely danglies

BHS is another great one for reducing things like this just before and after Christmas

I'd like some help in finding somewhere to buy some decent but not too expensive decorations.
Last year was our first proper christmas and we got some cheapy basic decorations from Asda. This year I'd like to get some things a but nicer but still within a reasonable amount.
I will probably sell the old stuff on ebay and put the proceeds towards the new.
I'm looking for a tree (fake), tinsel, baubels, stockings, everything really! :)

    Hi there

Last year I was in the same position. Found this tree (link below) and bought it. It is fantastic. It is very overdressed on the tree in the picture but you can select from all the different accessories and make a really classy tree.
