Thomas cook hotel stars rating..

Hi, Booked honeymoon for November in Goa hotel at the time marked up as 5 star, notified by email 2 days ago hotel has been downgraded to 4 but no price change ..no explanation just say no changes to hotel.. do we just have to accept this.

Any advice please..

so if everything about the hotel is the same then what is the problem?

Overall the stars have very little meaning, what one would class it as 4 star another could rate it as 3 or 5. As above if nothing else has changed with the hotel I can see no problem at all.
Forget the stars and enjoy your honeymoon :0)

Thomas Cook don't do stars, they do hearts.

You presumably booked the hotel because it offered the facilities, location etc you wanted. If those haven't changed why would the price change? It's only their in house rating, not an official one, and they do review their ratings from time to time. What TC considers to be 4 hearts could be considered a 5T by Thomsons, and vice versa. The official rating could be either.
