I am in the process of selling my house which I bought in 2002. I have never paid ground rent but a search on the land registry seems to inidcate the house is leashold https://eservices.landregistry.gov.uk/www/wps/portal/!ut/p/b1/04_SjzS0MDCyNDKyMNeP0I_KSyzLTE8syczPS8wB8aPM4o2NLEwMDU2MPCyMzcwNPE3d3I0NQ0yNDUyM9YNT8_RzoxwVAXCNhuc!/?_ga=1.17776881.976251310.1481882281
[FONT=&quot] But how can I find out who I'm supposed to pay it to and how much it is?

how many years left on the lease and what does it specifically say about ground rent and cos per year or increments in x years time?

Your link doesn't work and it only works for you with your login as you paid 3 pounds for it.

Who manages your development??? it should say on the Land Registry who you pay ground rent to, ie the company who owns the freehold

If you are in the process of selling your house then ask your solicitor to explain this to you.

Are you doing the covetancing yourself? Don't. You don't understand enough.

Employ a coneyancer, ideally a local solicitor. He'll then answer your legal questions.

As to who to pay - you don't need to pay anyone unless they demand the money in the appropriate form.

As to who could demand the money - chances are it wll be the freeholder (another £3 will show you who that is) though it could be someone else - have you read the lease?
